Historical and Collectible Significance:
This medal commemorates the Northern Epirus conflict involving Greek populations in the region during and following the Balkan Wars and World War I era. Medals connected to the Northern Epirus movement were often produced in limited numbers and distributed among veterans, supporters, and patriotic organizations.
Because many were privately commissioned or produced by smaller workshops, documented maker attributions are frequently incomplete, adding to their research interest and collectibility.
Items relating to the Northern Epirus struggle remain sought after among collectors of Greek military history, Balkan conflicts, and early 20th-century patriotic decorations.
Summary:
A historically interesting Greek Northern Epirus commemorative medal featuring original ribbon, attractive aged patina, and visible but unidentified maker signature. A desirable addition for collectors of Greek and Balkan militaria.
